Three Bean Hotdish

A fantastic recipe for the traditional comfort food bean stew or hotdish that you've had at pot-lucks, but you may not have made yourself. Give this simple and delicious meal a try!

| Ingredients: |

1 lb. |
|
ground beef |
| |
1 med. |
|
onion, diced |
| |
1/2 c. |
|
ketchup |
| |
1 T. |
|
mustard |
| |
1 T. |
|
vinegar |
| |
1/4 c. |
|
brown sugar |
| |
4 strips |
|
bacon |
| |
1 can |
|
kidney beans, drained |
| |
1 can |
|
butter beans, drained |
| |
2 cans |
|
baked beans (do not drain) |
| |
|
|
salt and pepper to taste |
| Directions: |
| |
Cook ground beef, bacon and onion, drain place in stock pot add remaining ingredients and simmer 30-45 min.
Or try making this in the crock pot. Add all ingredients, uncooked, to a crock pot (on low all day, or on high for 4 hours or so) in the morning, and come home to a delicious bean stew by supper-time.
