Traditional Meatloaf with a brown-sugar and Ketchup glaze made with Crisp Rice Cereal as an alternative to bread crumbs. If gluten is a serious problem for you, be sure to check the ingredients on the box of cereal (avoid "malt" derivitatives). I've found that Rice Chex and Health Food Aisle rice cereals are usually safe.
Ingredients:
  2 lbs.   ground beef
  1/2 lg.   onion, diced
  2   eggs
1 T.   steak grill seasoning (salt & pepper, etc.)
  2 tsp.   ground mustard
  1 tsp.   garlic
  1 tsp.   savory
  1/2 tsp.   marjoram
1 (15 oz.) can   tomato sauce
  2 1/2 c.   Crisp Rice cereal
  3/4 c.   ketchup
  1/2 c   brown sugar
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine, ground beef, onion, eggs, spices, and tomato sauce. When all these ingredients are well-combined, stir in the cereal. Transfer the meat mixture to an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup and brown sugar. Spread the ketchup glaze mixture over the meat mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-60 minutes.

Note: If gluten is a serious problem for you, be sure to check the ingredients on the box of cereal (avoid "malt" derivatives). I've found that Rice Chex and Health Food Aisle rice cereals are usually safe.
