quick brown rice pilaf

quick pilaf using instant brown rice |
Ingredients: |

1 cup |
|
water |
|
1 tsp |
|
instant chicken boullion granules |
|
1 cup |
|
fresh sliced mushrooms |
|
3/4 cup |
|
instant brown rice |
|
1/2 cup |
|
shredded carrots |
|
1/4 tsp |
|
marjoram, crushed |
|
1 dash |
|
black pepper |
|
2 |
|
green onions, chopped |
|
1 tbsp |
|
fresh snipped parsley |
Directions: |

In a medium saucepan stir together water and bouillon granules. Bring to boiling. Stir in mushrooms, uncooked rice, carrot, marjoram, and black pepper. Return to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 12 minutes.
Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Add the green onions and parsley; toss gently with a fork.
