Red Beans & Rice

Perfect football weather food. Serve with cornbread on the side. |
Ingredients: |

1 pkg |
|
dried red beans |
|
|
|
Tony Chachere's or cajun seasoning |
|
2 |
|
bay leaves |
|
1 |
|
chopped onion |
|
1 pkg |
|
smoked sausage |
Directions: |
|
Soak beans and cook according to package directions. Cook with onions, bay leaves and seasonings. Adjust seasonings to your preference (may add garlic powder, cayenne, salt, pepper).
Slice sausage and add when beans are done. Cook 30 minutes more. Serve over rice.
