6 medium |
|
potatoes |
|
3 tbsp |
|
margarine |
|
3/4 cup |
|
soft bread crumbs |
|
1/2 tsp |
|
paprika |
|
1/8 tsp |
|
dried thyme |
|
2 tbsp |
|
flour |
|
1 tsp |

dry mustard |
|
1 tsp |

salt |
|
1/8 tsp |

pepper |

ham, cubed |

american cheese, cut up |
Directions: |

Pare, slice and boil potatoes in water until tender. Pour off water reserving 1 cup for later use. Place potatoes in a 2 quart casserole or 9x12 greased cake pan. Melt margarine in skillet. Remove 1 tbsp and toss with bread crumbs, paparika, and thyme. Set crumbs aside. Into remaining margarine in skillet add flour, dry mustard, salt, pepper, and water reserved from potatoes. Cook and stir until bubbly. Stir in ham and cut up cheese. Cook until cheese melts. Pour over potatoes, sprinkle bread crumbs on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
