Nana's Christmas Morning Brunch

Egg and crouton bake with sausage and gravy. You prep this dish before bed (i.e. Christmas eve). Then in the morning, all you do is pour the gravy over the top and pop it in the oven. It'll be hot and ready to eat right about when you're finished opening presents! |
Ingredients: |

2 1/2 Cups |

Seasoned Croutons |

2 Cups |
|
Shredded Cheddar Cheese Sharp |
|
2 Pounds |
|
Pork Sausage |
|
4 Lg |
|
Eggs |
|
3/4 Tsp |
|
Dry Mustard |
|
2 3/4 Cups |

Milk |

1 Can |

Cream of Mushroom Soup |
Directions: |

Place croutons in bottom of greased 9 x 12 pan. Top with cheese. Brown sausage and drain on paper towel. Place on cheese. Beat eggs and mustard with 2 1/4 cups of milk. Pour over all. Refrigerate covered with foil overnight. Next day dilute with soup an additional 1/2 cup of milk. Pour over all and bake uncovered at 300 degrees about 1 1/2 hours until set.
