Mom's Stew

  My moms beef stew recipe
Ingredients:
  1 lb   Stew Beef
  2 tsp   oil
  1/2 cup   flour
  1/2 tsp   pepper
  2   bay leaves
  1/2 tsp   paprika
  1 1/2 tsp   sugar
  1/2 tsp   garlic powder
  5 cans   beef broth
  2 dashes   worcestershire sauce
  1   onion
  5   potatoes
  1 bag   mixed veggies
    bisquick
    milk
Directions:
  Brown beef in hot oil, stir in next 7 ingredients. add liquid and sliced onions. Simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaves. Add potatoes. Cover and cook 30-45 min until tender. after 30 mins add the veggies. prepare dumplings as directed on Bisquick box.
