Ingredients: |

2 lbs |
|
ground beef |
|
1 cup |
|
chopped onion |
|
1 cup |
|
cored, seeded, chopped green bell pepper |
|
2 gloves |
|
garlic chopped |
|

large eggs |
|
1 4 oz |
|
package crackers, crushed |
|
3 8 oz |
|
cans tomato sauce |
|
1/2 cup |
|
ketchup |
Directions: |
|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, garlic, eggs, crushed crackers, and tomato sauce in a large bowl. Mix well. Place in a large loaf pan and bake 1 hour, draining off any fat as needed.
While the meatloaf is baking, make the sauce. Mix in a small bowl the tomato sauce and ketchup. Pour the Meatloaf Sauce over the meatloaf, return it to the oven, and bake an additional 15 minutes.
