Meatloaf Alaska

  Meeatloaf topped with mashed taters
Ingredients:
  1   onion, chopped
  1   egg
  2/3 cup   rolled oats
  1/2 cup   ketchup
  1 tbsp   worchestershire sauce
  1 tsp   salt
  1/4 tsp   pepper
  1 dash   garlic powder
  1 dash   basil
  1/4 tsp   oregano
  2 lb   ground beeef
  4   potatoes, cubbed
  3 tbsp   butter
    milk (about 1/2 cup)
  1 tsp   salt
  1/4 tsp   pepper
Directions:
  Preheat oven to 375
Mix first 10 ingredients. Add meat.
rinse out loaf pan and pack in meat mixture. Invert onto oiled baking sheet
Bake 45 minutes or until 150-155 degrees

BOIL POTATOES WHILE MEATLOAF BAKES. Drain. Add butter, salt & pepper and mash with milk.

Spread taters on almost done meatloaf. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake another 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
