Indian Burgers

Delicious and different with a peanut ginger spread! Serve in toasted pita bread halves. |
Ingredients: |

1 lb |
|
ground turkey |
|
1/2 lb |
|
ground beef 80/20 |
|
4 |
|
chopped green onions |
|
4 |
|
garlic cloves, minced |
|
2 tbsp |
|
mango chutney |
|
2 tbsp |
|
water |
|
1 tbsp |
|
cilantro |
|
1/4 cup |
|
natural peanut butter |
|
2 tsp |
|
crystalized ginger, minced |
Directions: |

Gently mix everything together, except peanut butter and ginger. Form into 6 oval patties. Grill or broil about 5 minutes per side, until done. Toast pita halves in toaster, on grill or in broiler. Mix together the peanut butter and ginger and spread into the hot pitas. Stuff a burger patty into each pita half and serve hot.
