Tasty biscuits for soup or stew! |
Ingredients: |

2 Cups |
|
Flour |
|
1 Tbsp |
|
Sugar |
|
2 tsp |
|
Baking Powder |
|
1/2 tsp |
|
Baking Soda |
|
1/2 tsp |
|
Salt |
|
1/2 cup |
|
Butter, frozen, shredded |
|
2/3 cup |
|
Buttermilk |
|
2 Tbsp |
|
Light Cream |
Directions: |
|
1. 410 degrees
2. In a large bowl, stir the four, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until blended. Add shredded frozen butter and mix with two knifes until is resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Add buttermilk all at once and stir witha fork until combined. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 12-14 times.
4. Spread on a floured surface until about 1/2 inch thick and cut into 2 inch squares or circles. Place on cookie sheet. brush tops with cream.
5. Cook 12-15 minutes. Serve immediately with butter.
