Family Favorite Chili

  Our Family Favorite Chili!
Ingredients:
  2 lbs   ground beef
  1 c   chopped onion
  2 cloves   garlic, finely chopped
  28 oz   diced tomatoes, undrained
  15 oz   tomato sauce
  2 tbsp   chili powder
  1 1/2 tsp   ground cumin
  1/2 tsp   salt
  1/2 tsp   pepper
  15 oz   kidney or pinto beans, rinsed and drained
Directions:
  1. Cook beef in 12-inch skillet over medium heat, rinsed and drained.

2. Mix beef and remaining ingredients except beans in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.

3. Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 to 8 hours (or high heat setting 3 to 4 hours) or until onion is tender.

4. Stir in beans. Cover and cook on high heat setting 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.
