Easy hushpuppies

  using additional flour, you can shape the dough into small balls and fry in oil to make the puppies.
Ingredients:
  1 box   corn muffin mix (serves 6)
  1 lrg   egg
  2 tbsp   milk
Directions:
  Mix cornmuffin mix with just the ingredients above and shape into 2-in balls. Drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown and drain on paper towels. If batter is too thin, add flour a tbsp at a time until thick enough to shape in your hand- not too crumbly and not too sticky. Coating your hands in flour to shape the balls, or using a small cookie scoop helps.
