Easy hushpuppies

using additional flour, you can shape the dough into small balls and fry in oil to make the puppies. |
Ingredients: |

1 box |
|
corn muffin mix (serves 6) |
|
1 lrg |
|
egg |
|
2 tbsp |
|
milk |
Directions: |
|
Mix cornmuffin mix with just the ingredients above and shape into 2-in balls. Drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown and drain on paper towels. If batter is too thin, add flour a tbsp at a time until thick enough to shape in your hand- not too crumbly and not too sticky. Coating your hands in flour to shape the balls, or using a small cookie scoop helps.
