This cake is so fast, easy, and delicious, that it's almost dangerous! And it's an easy recipe to remember-- all you need is your bowl, spoon, a quarter-cup, and the knowledge that 4 T. = 1/4 c.
In your favorite microwave-safe mug or cereal bowl, combine 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, and 2 T. baking cocoa (fill the 1/4 c. about half-way full). Stir in the egg. Fill the 1/4 c. measuring cup about 3/4 of the way with milk, then top it off with the oil. Pour milk and oil, along with a splash of vanilla, into the bowl, and stir until well-combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Microwave on High for 3 minutes. Cake will be hot, so be sure to use hot pads. Cool just until you won't burn your tongue-- Enjoy!
