Broccoli with Parmesan cheese

Ingredients: |

1 kg |
|
fresh broccoli |
|
3 T |
|
olive oil |
|
3 cloves |
|
garlic, minced |
|
1 c |
|
Parmesan, grated |
|
3 T |
|
fresh lemon juice |
|
|
|
Salt and pepper to taste |
Directions: |

Wash broccoli, removing tough ends; peel stems if tough. Split broccoli into separate flowerets. Cut pcs. so they are no more then 3" long.
Put broccoli into steamer basket. Steam for approximately 10 min. or until broccoli is bright green but still tender-crisp in texture. Remove onto heated serving dish. Cover.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil with the garlic; remove garlic after 3-4 min. and discard. Pour hot oil over broccoli. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and lemon juice; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Keep hot or serve immediately.
